The Main Functions Of Water Purification Equipment Are Introduced

Purified water equipment is used to meet the needs of various industries to produce pure water equipment, mostly used in the pharmaceutical, chemical and chemical industries, the whole system is also made of all stainless steel material combination, and before the water point must be equipped with sterilization device. Adopting the latest technologies such as reverse osmosis and EDI, Shanghai Red Deer Biological Engineering Co., Ltd. has designed a complete set of high-purity water treatment technology according to the local conditions. The water quality of purified water equipment produced by Shanghai Red Deer Biological Engineering Co., Ltd. conforms to the 2010 edition of pharmacopoeia and GMP certification requirements, and fully meets the water requirements of purified water production and large infusion production in pharmaceutical factories and hospitals.

Application: blood products, injection, infusion, biological antibacterial drug manufacturers and drinking distilled water manufacturers.

Water purification equipment

The main functions of water purification equipment are introduced

1.  Multiple media filters

Most of the multi-medium filter tanks are filled with quartz sand, anthracite, manganese sand and other filter materials. Its function is mainly to reduce water turbidity, and can remove a large number of bacteria, viruses, organic matter in the water. Thus it creates favorable conditions for the subsequent disinfection process. The removal effect of manganese sand on iron and manganese is remarkable.

2.  Activated carbon filter tank

Activated carbon has a large number of micropores and a huge specific surface area, and has a strong physical adsorption capacity. It is very effective in absorbing impurities in water, especially organic matter and microorganism. Activated carbon surface formed by oxygen catalytic oxidation and chemical adsorption function, can remove part of the water metal ions. Activated carbon has a strong adsorption effect on the remaining chlorine in water, so as to protect the surface of the downstream stainless steel equipment and pipelines and meet the water entry requirements of the post-sequence water treatment unit.

3.  Automatic recoil and regeneration softening tank

Softened tank filled with sodium cation exchange resin. Through the ion exchange reaction of resin, the hardness of water is reduced to prevent the combination of calcium and magnesium ions with carbonate and sulfate ions, and scaling is formed in the subsequent water treatment equipment or pipelines.

4.  Precision filters

Precision filter is also known as security filter, filtering accuracy is generally 5 m. Its effect is to intercept all substances with particle size greater than 5 m to meet the reverse osmosis water entry requirements.

5.  Reverse osmosis

The key to the application of reverse osmosis technology lies in the performance of reverse osmosis membrane. Reverse osmosis membrane is a semi-permeable membrane that allows only water molecules to pass through but not solutes. In addition to applying the principle of reverse osmosis and reverse osmosis, the reverse osmosis technology also USES the selective adsorption of membrane and the screening machine for organic matter. Most of the pore size of reverse osmosis membrane is less than or equal to 10×10-10m, and the separation object is the organic matter in the ionic range and molecular weight of several hundred in the solution. It can filter out a variety of bacteria, such as pseudomonas aeruginosa, one of the smallest bacteria (3000×10-10m), as well as various viruses, such as influenza virus (800×10-10m), meningitis virus (200×10-10m), and pyrogens (10~500×10-10m). This is a big concern for pharmaceutical water.

Because of the simple operation and high desalting efficiency of reverse osmosis, it also has high pyrogenicity and economy in pharmaceutical process water, so it has become the preferred water treatment unit in pharmaceutical process water. Reverse osmosis technology is not only used in the preparation process of purified water, but also can be used to produce water of WFI quality. Since the 19th edition of usP, this method has been accepted as one of the legal methods for the preparation of WFI.

6.  Electric deionization (EDI)

Electrical ion exchange system (EDI) is also an ion exchange system that USES a hybrid resin bed, selective permeation membrane and charger to ensure continuous water treatment and continuous resin regeneration.

7.  Sterilization system

A. Oxygen and UV are combined in an orderly manner for disinfection/sterilization. Ozone is a strong oxidant and is second only to fluorine in oxidising ability among natural elements. Ozone can oxidize and decompose glucose oxidase, which is necessary for glucose oxidation in bacteria. It can also directly interact with bacteria and viruses, destroy cells and ribonucleic acid, and decompose DNA, RNA, proteins, lipids, polysaccharides and other macromolecular polymers, so as to destroy the metabolic growth and reproduction process of bacteria. In water treatment, it has remarkable effect on deodorization, decolorization, sterilization, removal of phenol, cyanide, iron, manganese and reducing COD and BOD. Uv reduces the rate of new colony formation in the pretreatment system of the water system, and the 254nm UV lamp, located behind ozone, can be used both to disinfect and remove ozone residues.

B. Recycle the backflow to prevent the breeding of bacteria. In the purified water system, the pretreatment system, the water making system and the water using system are provided with circulating waterways respectively. When the purification tank is full; When the electrical conductivity of the effluent exceeds the standard, the water in each system should be circulated to a certain extent. If necessary, ultraviolet or ozone/ultraviolet sterilization should be supplemented to prevent the breeding of bacteria.

The effluent quality of purified water equipment conforms to the purified water standard stipulated by the state. The core technology of the purified water equipment is the combination of reverse osmosis technology and EDI technology to ensure the water quality of the purified water equipment is stable and the system runs smoothly, which is suitable for the actual needs of enterprise development and production.
